Description: Looking for results? Love a challenge? Hit a plateau? Need to lose weight? Forte Bootcamp is your solution! FORTE Bootcamp is a specifically designed workout program focused on building total body strength, using a wide variety of exercises and formats. These workouts challenge the body, incorporating sprints, plyometric movements, weight training, and body weight exercises that can all be modified and progressed to accommodate any fitness level. Bootcamp is the perfect combination for building overall fitness, athleticism, speed, power, and endurance. This type of training yields big results and will change your body! Each workout is unique, challenging, and fun. All fitness levels are welcome! Come see what FORTE Bootcamp can do for YOU!
Description: Barre fitness is a barre-based class using a combination of postures inspired by ballet and other disciplines like yoga and Pilates. The barre is used to balance while performing small isometric movements for strength training. Also, often used in class are resistance bands, a soft exercise ball to help engage leg muscles, light handheld weights as well as mats for targeted core work. Barre class is a total body work out focusing on form while toning your thighs, abs and arms. Class Structure: Class typically starts with a mat-based warm-up full of planks and push-ups, followed by a series of arm exercises, and continue at the bar with a lower-body section to work your thighs and glutes. Followed by a series of core-focused moves at the bar or a short session on the mat and a small segment of stretches to assist with flexibility will bring the class to a close. Total class time of 55 minutes. Suggested Attire & What to Bring: Please wear comfortable, breathable workout wear. We suggest fitted clothing on the tighter side so that the instructor can easily see form and alignment. Long leggings to keep the leg muscles warm along with a fitted top and a removable athletic jacket as your body warms in the beginning of class and cools at the end of class. Please bring a small personal towel and a water bottle. The workout is done in socks with non-slip bottoms. These will be available for purchase at Forte Fitness. Difference between Barre Class & Typically Strength Training: Rather than larger, compound movements like squats and shoulder presses, you’ll perform tiny, one-inch increments called isometric movements. You will often hear your instructor say, “Down an inch, up an inch.” For someone who’s used to HIIT or CrossFit, it may seem like you’re not working hard enough. But that’s absolutely not the case; the one-inch increments are enough to fire up the muscle and make it more elastic, but not too big to tear the muscle, creating a killer work out other forms of exercise cannot provide. Modifications for Every Age and Level: The beauty of barre classes is that everyone works with small movements and can limit or expand their range of motion to suit their specific needs. Exercises can always be modified whether you’re a beginner, pregnant or have an injury, but can also be amplified if you’re advanced and looking for more of a challenge.
Forte Fit (weights)
Description: Our most demanding functional fitness training session, Forte Fit, is for those who have attended other fitness classes and therefor possess a basic understanding of proper technique and training principals who constantly strive for more and have a passion to try new things ad be challenged! This class will focus on "military athlete" training principals and utilize more technical equipment to include barbells, kettlebells, plyo boxes, heavy sandbags and more. Exceptional programming lead by our most knowledgeable and accredited certified personal trainers’ "coaches" will excite the mind and provide the ultimate challenge to the body! COME take the challenge! Modifications and teaching of proper technique and form will always be available in a supportive and non-intimidating environment! As always, let your coach know of any medical issues or injuries prior to class.
Description: Glute Gains is a weight training class that targets the posterior chain (glutes, legs, hips, back) by using a variety of movements that will challenge you beyond just a basic squat. This class utilizes everything from barbells, dumbbells, and kettlebells, to resistance bands, and body weight exercises that are proven to activate, strengthen, and grow your glutes! All fitness levels are welcome!
Description: H.I.I.T stands for High Intensity Interval Training. ALL fitness levels are preferred and welcome with modifications shown! Get your TOTAL BODY WORKOUT with STRENGTH and CARDIO with this burner! It’s one of our most popular classes for a reason. Adding this type of workout into your routine can result in distinct differences in your other workouts such as more stamina and endurance. Studies have shown that HIIT training helps you burn more calories all day, long after your workout is complete and even at rest!
Description: Be ready to jab, punch, and kick your way to a full body workout set to high energy and familiar music tracks! This class is sure to make you sweat while sculpting and toning your entire body! KICK*FIT℠ can be modified for all fitness levels, so fear not if you do not have any prior experience with kickboxing. No matter where you are in your fitness journey, one thing is for certain, this class will KICK the FIT into you!
Pumped (weight training)
Description: This class is geared for anyone who is looking to accentuate and define their physique, as well as improve their strength and overall muscle tone. Class format will incorporate a variety of conventional strength training exercises using an array of equipment such as dumbbells, kettlebells, barbells, bands and bodyweight. Specific muscle groups will be trained together to maximize results as well as bilateral movements to help correct imbalances and create symmetry. Stability and mobility work will also be incorporated to help each participant achieve their fullest potential. So whether you want to get jacked....or lean out, those goals will be met through this class addition!
Description: This class will focus on restoring the body through gentle movement. We will move slowly through poses focusing on breath, stretching of the hips, hamstrings, spine, shoulders and quadriceps. Tight muscles can cause the body to be unbalanced and out of alignment leaving you more injury prone or just achy. We will also work on our balance and core strength building a strong foundation! All levels welcome!
Barre + Circuit Training
Description: FORTE Barre+Circuit is offered for all fitness levels interested in a circuit/interval training workout that blends a total body workout and the isometric movements of a traditional Barre class. Targeting areas to sculpt and tighten your guns, buns, thighs and core, this class will push you mentally and physically. Don’t be fooled by its low-impact, mainly isometric exercises (which consists of holding poses with isolated muscle fine toning movements). You can expect to sweat, shake, and love every second of it because the results you’ll see and feel are safe and fast! Barre enthusiasts notice better posture, less back pain, more muscle tone, weight loss, increased flexibility and even reduced stress! This class welcomes all levels, as modifications and progressions will be shown! A PERFECT start for someone beginning their fitness journey but super effective and engaging for seasoned exercisers! Benefits: This class will help push you past your plateaus to help you reach your fitness goals faster. Using your own body weight or light dumbbells, bands or TRX Suspension Trainers you will gain muscular endurance, tone, and definition, and you will also experience that increased calorie after burn!! Description: MixxedFit® is a people-inspired dance fitness program that is a mix of explosive dancing and boot camp toning. Everything about our dance fitness program can be described as explosive – all of our movements are always big, exaggerated, full-out, and our very best. But for ALL levels, shapes and sizes of fitness! We dance to our favorite songs on the radio that we would dance to at a nightclub. Then, we spice things up by adding boot camp-inspired exercises to make your workout more effective and challenging. A traditional MixxedFit® class is 55 minutes in length and will get you to your fitness goals quickly. Why? Because the secret is in the toning that we incorporate. The best part of it all is that we tone using our own bodies. No equipment, no dumbbells, and no awkward toning contraptions! Our choreography is not complex and difficult. Our steps are repetitive and very easy to follow which means that our students can naturally increase their level of intensity during their workouts. We aim to keep our choreography simple. That way, our students can focus on “working out” rather than following dance steps. If you can do things like squats, jumping jacks, and shake that booty, you will have a blast in class! MixxedFit®: What Makes it Different? We play all types of music that you would most likely hear on the radio, at the club, etc. Our music selection is young, fresh, upbeat, and familiar. Our moves are repetitive and easy to follow. We do this so our students can focus on maximizing their workouts rather than focusing on complicated dance steps. We do this so our students can get lost in the music. We are not Latin-inspired, Asian-inspired, African American-inspired, etc. We are PEOPLE-INSPIRED. Our workouts are not influenced by a specific culture, race, or ethnicity. We also make sure we focus equally on toning as we do dancing. This is a huge difference in our dance fitness program than others. You will do squats, arm toning exercises, and other bootcamp inspired drills during your MixxedFit™ class. You will do it A LOT. Everything we do is explosive. All of our moves are big, exaggerated, and our very best always. Being explosive allows us to burn more calories, increase our endurance, and challenge ourselves physically and mentally. We strive to make our students feel like they are not only at the nightclub, but, also like they just came out of a boot camp. Again, the secret is in our toning exercises!
XTREME HIP HOP STEP Class (personal step encouraged and preferred but not required)
Description: Xtreme Hip Hop Step: A revamp of traditional step aerobics! With routines set to old and new school hip hop music, it will certainly make you want to get up and move while getting a great calorie burn on! A personal step is encouraged and preferred but not required. We also have a few but they will be first come, first served!
Description: Perfect for everybody and every body! Each Zumba® class is designed to bring people together to sweat it on in a dance-fitness P-A-R-T-Y like atmosphere! How It Works: We take the "work" out of workout, by mixing low-intensity and high-intensity moves for an interval-style, calorie-burning dance fitness party. Once the Latin, Top 40 and World Rhythms take over, you'll see why Zumba® Fitness classes are often called exercise in disguise. Super effective? Check. Super fun? Check and check. Benefits: A total workout, combining all elements of fitness – cardio, muscle conditioning, balance and flexibility, boosted energy and a serious dose of awesome each time you leave class.
